Praise for the
Milkweed Triptych
"A major talent... I can't wait to see more."
—George R. R. Martin
"Mad English warlocks battling twisted Nazi psychics? Yes please, thank you. Tregillis's debut has a white-knuckle plot, beautiful descriptions, and complex characters-- an unstoppable Vickers of a novel."
Cory Doctorow on Bitter Seeds
"Ian Tregillis triumphantly concludes his astonishing, brilliant, pulse-pounding debut trilogy, The Milkweed Triptych."
Cory Doctorow on Necessary Evil
"Tregillis' conclusion of the Milkweed Triptych is the pièce de résistance of the series. Necessary Evil is a perfect marriage of science fiction, fantasy and alternate history."
RT Book Reviews (4.5 stars, Top Pick) on Necessary Evil
"Darkly fascinating…A thoroughly fascinating conclusion to an imaginative tour de force."
Kirkus on Necessary Evil
"A cross between the devious, character-driven spy fiction of early John le Carré and the mad science fantasy of the X-Men... Despite the jaw-dropping backdrop and oblique plotting, the narrative is driven by character and personal circumstance...
Grim indeed, yet eloquent and utterly compelling."
—Kirkus on The Coldest War
"The characters come alive via [Tregillis's] imaginative dialogue and his storyline will keep readers spellbound and on the edge of their seats with an intense sci-fi/alternate history thriller plot."
RT Book Reviews (4.5 stars, Top Pick) on The Coldest War
"Well-drawn characters and a feel for time and place make this an excellent journey into an alternate Britain."
—Library Journal on Bitter Seeds
"Engrossing... Tregillis ably mixes cold war paranoia with his mythology."

Now Shipping: Tales From the Ur-Bar
Tuesday, February 22 2011, 10:35 PM

After Hours, the ur-bar anthology edited by the intrepid Patricia Bray and Joshua Palmatier, is making its way into the real world!  I recieved my author's copy in the mail from the book packager this weekend, and I also received a copy from Josh at Boskone.

And I just received another copy in the mail from Barnes and Noble this evening.

The official release date is, I believe, March 1. But Josh said he and Patricia received their shipments of authors' and editors' copies last week, and brought authors' copies to Boskone.  Terrific, I say.

They've been running profiles of all the Ur-bar authors here.  And they're running a contest!  There's chocolate and many free books involved—they're giving away books by each of the contributors (up to entire trilogies in some cases)!  Bitter Seeds is included in the swag.    And did I mention the chocolate?

SciFiChick.com is also giving away a copy of the anthology.

Sam (S. C.) Butler read from his Ur-bar contribution at Boskone on Saturday.  It went over really well.

That looks pretty interesting. Barnes&Noble has it listed for March 1, so I think I'll grab a copy then.
By the way, congratulations on being in the 2010 Locus recommendations for “What Doctor Gottlieb Saw”.

It's a fun anthology. They pulled some great writers together (they invited me mostly out of awkward guilt, I imagine) and came up with a very nifty premise.

And thanks very much! I didn't even know about the list until about an hour ago.
